ABOUT
Ambassadori Batumi Island is the largest investment project in the region, which entails the creation of two artificial peninsulas and one island featuring ultra-modern resorts geared toward wellness and recreation in the Batumi seaside area, in the 2.5×1.5-kilometer coastal water zone of the settlements of Bartskhana and Tamari, as well as the construction of the relevant infrastructure at the given locations.
According to the project, the island will include public beaches, active and passive recreation areas, aquaparks, promenades, a seaside boulevard, a yacht club, educational institutions, shopping malls, hotels, and residential buildings.
The given concept envisages attracting large-scale investment and expanding the administrative boundaries of Batumi, which implies the decongestion of the existing development of the city and the reinforcement of its coastline.
It should be noted that the length of the existing public beach from the River Bartskhana to the shore of the settlement of Tamari currently measures 1.7 kilometers. According to the given project, this figure is set to double to 3.6 kilometers at the expense of the peninsulas’ coastline.
This is the shoaliest segment of the coast of Adjara that is best protected from waves and characterized by exceptional stability in terms of coastal morphodynamics. Internationally recognized experts will work on the project, shoreline protection works, and the development and maintenance of safety standards.
The construction of cascading public and residential facilities, including high-end hotel complexes with public beaches, active and passive recreation areas, and an aquapark is planned on the peninsulas.
