BATHYMETRIC SURVEYS – KORDIL…
In September 2021, on the basis of the investment agreement signed with the National Agency of State Property, Ambassadori Batumi Island Ltd began to prepare a technical and economic feasibility study and an environmental impact assessment report pertaining to the multifunctional project planned in the city of Batumi, near Odysseas Dimitriadis Street. Namely, bathymetric surveys were carried out across 891,258 square meters of the sea water zone, which involve detailed deep-water surveys. The works were carried out by KORDIL, a highly qualified company invited from Turkey specifically for the given task. Currently, the development of a primary conceptual project is underway, upon the conclusion of which the relevant points will be identified and the examination of the geology of the seabed will commence.
According to the project, the two peninsulas and the island will include public beaches, active and passive recreation areas, aquaparks, promenades, a seaside boulevard, a yacht club, educational institutions, shopping malls, hotels, and residential buildings.
In order to secure the commitments undertaken within the framework of the investment project, the company has already submitted a bank guarantee in the amount of 1 million USD to the National Agency for State Property, which will increase to 3 million USD upon the commencement of the construction works. The employment of at least 2,000 citizens of Georgia is planned as a result of the implementation of the project.
In order to implement the project, in addition to other commitments, the company has undertaken the commitment to conduct full technical and economic feasibility studies and to submit environmental impact assessment reports to the Government of Georgia.
