Turkish company Zemin Teknik is currently engaged in seabed drilling, CPT experiments, construction site survey and research as part of the Ambassadori Batumi Island project.

Works are carried out by the ship that can drill the seabed by standing on its hydraulic footings. The most important feature of this vessel is that oscillation is completely excluded during the drilling work of the soil, which allows us to carry out work and research without any pause.

“Drilling takes place in different locations in this area of the sea, drilling machine goes through the soil up to 30 meters, to different points. Based on these and laboratory studies a report is prepared to select the right methods of project development.” – Sanem Ceren Karahan, Geology Engineer of Zemin Teknik

Zemin Teknik was founded in 2007 and has done more than 700 ground surveys all around Turkey and in the world. It has carried out many similar projects in Turkey, for example, the Istanbul Canal and Rize Airport. Zemin Teknik carried out soil drilling during the construction of the new airport in Istanbul which is the largest airport in Europe built on water.

“The very attractive side of the Ambassadori Batumi Island is that it is aimed at deepening tourism and trade relations. Zemin Teknik is very happy to participate in this project and wishes a quick implementation to it.” – Orkan Tamer Yarim, Director of Zemin Teknik
