"Ambassadori Island Batumi" is preparing to put 25 hectares of the peninsula into operation in approximately three months. Which means that one of the two peninsulas will be a completed product in terms of phased development.

In an interview with BMG TV's program "Business Week," the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Gocha Kamkia, discussed the stages of development and plans for more than $100 million project in Adjara, specifically in Batumi.

A large-scale project involving two peninsulas and an island in Batumi was announced in 2021. The investor became the "Ambassadori Group," with which the government signed an investment agreement. According to the agreement, the development of two peninsulas and an island is planned on 84 hectares of land, formed in the sea, in Batumi, with infrastructure development to follow. As part of the "Ambassadori Island Batumi" project, the territory will feature beaches, active and passive recreation areas, walking promenades, and a seaside boulevard. Additionally, the construction of water parks, a yacht club, educational institutions, shopping centers, hotels, and residential buildings is planned. It is also important to note that the proposed concept has other significant implications, including the attraction of large-scale investments.

As noted by Gocha Kamkia, the Chief Executive Officer of "Ambassadori Island Batumi," in an interview with "Business Week," according to the investment agreement, the company was required to obtain permits and begin work on the project starting from September 30 of this year. However, the company is ahead of the deadlines set by its obligations and is developing the project step by step according to the outlined plan.

"According to the contract, work was supposed to begin on September 30 of this year. However, due to tireless work, remarkable results have been achieved, and we are now preparing for new initiatives.

In order for the project to develop from the initial stage, we have incorporated mechanisms for phased development. Thus, in approximately three months, we are preparing to put 25 hectares of land from left peninsula into operation. This means that one of the two peninsulas in Batumi will already be a completed product in terms of phased development—finished both from a safety and economic perspective, as well as a conceptual one," says Gocha Kamkia. He further adds that the "Ambassadori Group" has invited specialists for the project—finance experts, architects, and urbanists—from various parts of the world, including London, Istanbul, Ankara, and New York.

"We have not wasted any time and have already completed work on 5 ultramodern buildings. Three of these will be multifunctional complexes, where a branded hotel, apartments, a lounge, an infinity pool, and all the infrastructure necessary for comfortable accommodation in the modern world will be located.

"Additionally, we are developing 2 buildings that will be distinguished by low-rise construction. One of the buildings will house the island administration, where customers will receive services," says Gocha Kamkia while discussing the details of the project development.

"The company is also working on the idea of issuing symbolic passports to those interested in purchasing real estate in the "Ambassadori Island Batumi" project. For individuals and investors interested in the project, the management company of "Ambassadori Island Batumi" has already opened a service center in Batumi, which will move to the peninsula after the completion of the first phase of the project.

Through our service center, we decided to engage in direct communication with each customer. This will include offering real estate, which has generated a lot of interest, whether it’s apartments or land plots. Additionally, we will present the future services that will make the island unique. Currently, 15 people are employed in the space," says the General Director of "Ambassadori Island Batumi."

According to him, the project will create a new face for the country, which will not interfere with the historic part of Batumi.
