The General Director of “Ambassadori Island Batumi,” Gocha Kamkia, spoke about the strategic importance of the Ambassadori Island project and its unique investment potential during a panel discussion at the “Economic Forum.”

The “Economic Forum,” whose main discussion topics included the country’s tourism and investment potential, the importance of strategic projects and initiatives, opportunities, and challenges, was organized by Business Insider Georgia. The forum was moderated by Giorgi Abashishvili, founder of Business Insider Georgia and the Economic Forum. Participants in the panel discussion included Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Shota Berekashvili, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy, and Gocha Kamkia, General Director of “Ambassadori Island Batumi.”

“It is important that the ‘Economic Forum’ serves as a space for sharing specific initiatives, decisions, innovative ideas, and for discussing existing challenges and ways to solve them. Within the framework of the forum, the role of strategic projects in the development of the country’s economy and in increasing investment and tourism potential was discussed. We shared with the audience our impressive results regarding the development of Ambassadori Island. In particular, this year, already this summer, we plan to bring 26 hectares of land into operation and to develop two ultra-modern buildings, with a total investment potential of approximately 600 million USD,” said Gocha Kamkia.

The island project is being implemented by Ambassadori Group in cooperation with various international companies. “Ambassadori Island Batumi,” which aims to form two artificial peninsulas and one artificial island on 84 hectares of sea territory, is being developed in full compliance with the principles of sustainable development and smart city planning. The project has both tourism and significant economic importance for the region, which will place Batumi and Georgia as a whole on the new global investment map.
