Ambassadori Island Batumi, in cooperation with Arup develops a concept for an iconic architectural vision for the artificial island of Batumi

A collaboration between Ambassadori Island Batumi and the British company ARUP has been signed for the development of a concept for the architecture of volume, facade design, style and urban planning of buildings to be built on two artificial peninsulas and an island in Batumi. The design and construction of buildings in the project area by investors will be carried out in accordance with pre-developed stylistics and guiding norms. This strategic partnership ensures a cohesive and sustainable architectural vision for the project's development, seamlessly integrating it into the cultural landscape of Batumi. The collaboration aims to enhance investment security and implement projects with exceptional quality. This comprehensive approach will allow for the consideration of technological innovations available worldwide during project implementation, which will significantly accelerate the process of obtaining a construction permit on a separate investment plot and project implementation.
Arup is involved in the planning of several leading cities worldwide. The company's extensive experience in developing remarkable architectural concepts will be essential in reflecting the character and vitality of Batumi through innovative and environmentally sustainable principles. The primary objective is to create facades that, through unique design, will serve to create both iconic and practical buildings.

"For the Ambassadori Island Batumi project, a historically significant initiative, it is extremely important to cooperate with global companies with many years of experience, which, in addition to providing quality services, can also share their own experience with us. This collaboration with Arup is of particular importance not only for our project, but also for the development of the country in general. Progressive steps like these will, over time, contribute to the emergence of additional buildings of high artistic value in Georgia. These buildings will ultimately serve to increase the awareness of our country and raise standards in the construction and development sector to a new level." - said Gocha Kamkia, Director of Ambassadori Island Batumi.
“Ambassadori Island Batumi is about placemaking and identity, creating attractive public realms, liveable and flexible urban spaces, and a sustainable and resilient ecosystem. It will offer a high-quality urban environment with great potential for landmarking as a tourism center and for investors, as it will be the first significant artificial island project within the Black Sea Region.” Alev Çakmak, Associate Director of Arup Türkiye.
The project, which aims to form two artificial peninsulas and one artificial island in the sea, is in full compliance with the principles of sustainable development. It will set a new standard for urban development of the region's coastline. Following the physical expansion of the territory, it will also change the horizon of our ideas about the cities of the future.
Ambassadori Island Batumi project is now being actively developed, and 25 hectares of the left peninsula and 3 hectares of the right peninsula have already been formed, which is more than a quarter of the total project area and is five years ahead of the initial investment commitments.
